Hi There!

Currently

I am working at Oprah Daily as an Associate Video Producer where I produce digital content and live events for all things Oprah. I kickstarted my career through working at CNN+, The Wendy Williams Show, MSNBC, New York Live, and Anderson Cooper 360.

Why Journalism?

I’ve had a special passion for the arts ever since I was a young child. I would write songs, poems, and stories just for fun. During summer breaks, I would spend time with my Nana. She loved to watch the news. Nancy Grace, ABC World News Tonight, Hardball with Chris Matthews, and Larry King Live were a few of her favorites. She would say to me, "one day that will be you on TV, my brilliant granddaughter.” As I watched alongside her, my interest in news grew.

In elementary school, I participated in the drama club, starring in plays and learning how to write them. In middle school, I expanded my interest in the arts by joining the orchestra. In high school, I joined the drama club. Throughout my academic career, I earned various awards for my pieces of work and I always scored high on writing assignments. This foundation led me to major in Journalism at St. John's University in Queens, NY #GoJohnnies!

As I became more involved, I quickly realized that I had a gift. I knew I wanted to use my talent to make a big impact in this field. As a writer for The Torch,  St. John’s student newspaper, I learned how to find local stories and bring them to life. I had a special way of connecting and moving other students. I found myself getting involved in crises on campus and using my voice to speak up for other students who could not.

I believe that a true journalist is an individual who can story-tell, research, interview, and put all of the pieces together to create the puzzle. I plan on continuing to use my platform to ultimately bring knowledge and awareness to the people.

What Are My Goals?

I have a knack for producing pop culture stories and developing breaking news. I enjoy working in daytime television and morning news programming. In the future, I would love to work on long from projects and serve as an executive television producer.
